What is it?
It’s that time of year again where we partake in the About Life Annual Community Detox! We’re talking About Life staff, customers and ambassadors, all joining forces to help each other work towards a healthier and happier you! This year, we will focus on the mind, the body and our food. Get ready everybody – it’s time to EAT A RAINBOW!
On 5th February 2018, the About Life community will embark on a week-long detox. We’ll supply the essentials– shopping lists, weekly meal planners, detox events, as well as loads of support and inspiration.
How do I do it? I want to join!
You can sign up in-store or online. Rope in your work mates or besties, or make some new friends! It’s free to take part. Sign up, show your progress via Instagram #ALCommunityDetox, enter the draw to win a $250 AL Gift Voucher.
Come to one of our goal-kicking events (see our Detox Events tab for more information and how to sign up), share your progress online via Instagram and Facebook, organise your own healthy catch ups and cook-offs, support each other through the highs and lows, online and in person… make the week your own!
Welcome to our favourite time of the year… LETS DO IT!
Detoxing doesn’t have to be scary, especially when you have the entire About Life Community on board, supporting you each step of the way.
Before we embark on this journey together, it is important to stock up your fridge and pantry with all your detox essentials. However never fear, we have created the ideal shopping list that caters for a wide variety of people. (If you have any allergies or special eating requirements, yet stuck on what to replace a shopping item with, jump onto our Facebook and message us directly. We will get back to you with the most appropriate product choice!)
To keep you on track for the week further, we’ve created a Detox Diary that helps to organise not only your meals for the week, but also your H20 intake, sleep cycle, mindfulness minutes, screen time, socialising… it’s an all-in-one planner!
After all, reaching your health goals is not simply just about what food goes into your mouth. Rather, it’s the combination of your mind, your body AND your food. When each component works together in unison, you can achieve the best version of YOU yet.
