Yoghurt and probiotics
Probiotics, or the live active cultures found in yoghurt, are good bacteria that keep the gut healthy and fight off disease.
Not the type of gelatin you get from the baking section at the supermarkets. We’re talking premium quality gelatin from grass-fed healthy animals and sourced for human consumption. Gelatin is a naturally occurring protein and in order to convert collagen from gelatin, several cleansing and purification steps are required in the manufacturing process. STRAWBERRY AND BEETROOT JELLY
3 cups strawberries (fresh or frozen)
140mls beetroot juice
1 tbs rice malt syrup
1 tbs gelatin
*NOTE: Ensure you get a quality beef gelatin that is not hydrolysed otherwise it will not set.
Combine ingredients except gelatin in a blender and blitz until smooth. Pour the mixture into a saucepan and bring to the boil. Add gelatin and whisk thoroughly to ensure no lumps form. Pour into cups. Chill for approximately one hour or until firm.
